Explanations explores the way we try to make sense of our own thoughts. The same idea appears again and again, as if one person is explaining it to himself from different perspectives, trying to understand something that cannot be resolved by a single answer.

The repeated figures suggest the movement of thought — circling around an idea, questioning it, explaining it and returning to it again. What begins as an attempt to understand can easily become a conversation within the mind.

The painting reflects a familiar human experience: sometimes we keep explaining something to ourselves not because we lack an answer, but because we are not yet ready to accept it.
